But, it&#8217;s not something you start today and see results tomorrow. We occasionally have clients who will suggest that if we do this or that their website will shoot out of the Internet like a rising Phoenix. Successful builder   marketing on the Internet begins with the proper keywords. That&#8217;s why many builders are choosing <a class="alignleft" title="Builder Marketing Results on the Internet" href="http://www.power-marketing.com" target="_blank">Power Marketing</a> for their Internet campaigns.</p>
<p>Granted, once we select the right keywords and execute a Search Engine Optimization campaign (SEO), you should see results. But those results often take 4-6 months and a considerable effort.</p>
<p>That said, the heart and soul of Internet success is keyword selection. Using the proper keywords correctly is the foundation to any improvements in organic search engine results for builders. Here are five tips to selecting and using keywords:</p>
<p>#1. Focus on 10 keywords first. If you try to optimize too many, you will likely frustrate yourself and not see the success even if it&#8217;s there.</p>
<p>#2. One word keywords are for losers. For instance, the keyword <strong>new homes</strong> will generate you literally millions of interested searchers. Unfortunately, the term is so broad that those searchers could be looking for resale, or looking in Florida or Texas. They could also be architects looking for ideas or plumbers looking for clients. BUT, if you use the keyword <strong>new homes Frederick, MD</strong>; now you have something.</p>
<p>3. Use your keywords everywhere: online posts like Facebook and Twitter, online press releases, your website copy, and anywhere you can.</p>
<p>4. ALWAYS use your keywords in your meta tags: description tag, title tag, and keyword tags.</p>
<p>5. Sign up your website on Google analytics or another analytics program to track the success of your keywords so you can update and improve them as you go.</p>
<p>Best of luck as you pursue your success online. Builder marketing today has a huge component of it&#8217;s success online. Keep learning.</p>

Today, having a productive website is only the beginning of the process. The Internet has changed our world new home marketers. Whether it&#8217;s social media, blogging, interactive floor plans, Facebook, landing pages, HTML, CSS, or any of the many new terms that have invaded our once comfy marketing world; the truth is that the rules have changed.</p>
<p>Why are so few builders willing to blog. Most of my clients say it&#8217;s time! They&#8217;re staffed to the edge and have no time to blog. Blogging isn&#8217;t as difficult as you think or as time consuming as you are led to believe. Take the time to invest into a blog and get going. Your customers and your prospective customers are looking and may have some really great things to say about you. And guess what, others will believe it.</p>
